The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $62k to $95k, depending on applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed.

We are looking for a full-time, permanent teacher of Social Sciences to join our culturally vibrant Social Science department. Please state senior subject strengths.

Teacher in Charge of ESOL, full time, permanent. 1MU & 1MMA
We are seeking a full time, permanent Teacher in Charge of ESOL to lead and grow the department. To start Tuesday 28 January 2025.
This position comes with one management unit (1MU) and one middle management allowance (1MMA).
We are a culturally vibrant kura with an increasing roll. We have a high proportion of Māori and Pasifika students (75%) and a genuine passion for teaching in this environment is a requirement. We have rapidly increasing numbers of students with English as a second language.
The successful applicant will have proven experience in working in a high equity index school or similar environment. Previous experience leading in a secondary context would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite for the position.
You will also have high expectations of self and students and a genuine commitment to raising student achievement. A willingness and ability to teach in a culturally diverse kura and adapt to or facilitate changes in teaching and learning methods is essential. A high level of digital competency is a necessity for the position.
You will have the opportunity to engage in project based learning that puts our students at the heart of all that we do.
For the right applicant, there may be the opportunity to take on a Kaiārahi (Dean) role in the school or other responsibilities. Please state previous experience in a pastoral care role or similar, if applicable.

We are looking for qualified teachers to join our pool of day-to-day relief teachers to start immediately, all subjects.
Previous experience working in a low decile school or kura an advantage but not a prerequisite.
